C.EN TECHNOLOGY VIDEO DEMONSTRATION
C.En Ltd. - BAM Demonstration Meeting to The Associated Press and Generali Group
March 23rd, 2010
BAM Federal Institute, Berlin, Germany
C.En Ltd’s trendsetting technology lies in the high pressure storage of hydrogen. The technology overcomes the central obstacles of hydrogen storage. The video presents the enormous potential of the technology to provide a solution for hydrogen storage obstacles in portable, mobile and stationary applications
The video presents C.En’s storage technology, including the:
- Filling (infusion) and high pressure storage of hydrogen in capillary arrays;
- Closure of the arrays with a specially developed micro valve;
- Opening of the arrays with a low temperature heating device;
- Release of hydrogen to various applications.

Hydrogen storage system for mobile or stationary applications
In order to present the technology in an effective way, the video demonstrates:
- The release of hydrogen and inflation of a balloon – demonstrating the release of hydrogen;
- The filling of hydrogen onto an on-board buffering volume (balloon) and the activation of a “Horizon” miniature fuel cell car – demonstrating a stationary hydrogen storage supply system;
- The utilization of the C.En storage device as an on-board mobile energy supply with a buffering volume (balloon). Connected to a fuel cell it activates a model car– demonstrating a mobile power pack or “clean battery”;
- The instant activation of 20 LED light bulbs, illuminating a picture frame – demonstrating a stationary power pack or “clean battery”.
The storage device provides a consistent and gradated pressure supply through the release of a single array at a time. The duration of the supply of hydrogen fuel is dependant only upon the size of the storage device and the operating parameters of the application
These demonstrations illustrate the fundamental scientific principles behind the technology, further engineering will allow for the utilization of the technology in the following applications:
- Transport industries -automotive, aircraft/aerospace, ships, maritime vessels, submarines, trucks, rails.
- Electronic industries -communications, defense industry, electric and power applications (mobiles, computers, laptops etc.).
- Manufacturing Industries - fiber materials, containers.
- Infrastructural projects - large and bulk storage, gas stations.
